701 km Mumbai – Nagpur Expressway (Samruddhi Mahamarg) by MSRDC is an under-construction 6-lane access-controlled road with a route alignment connecting Village Shivmadka in Nagpur District to Village Amne in Thane District
Samruddhi Mahamarg will be opened and inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 11, 2022. The first phase (502 km) will connect Nagpur – Shirdi.
This greenfield project was first announced in 2015 and land acquisition began in July 2017. Its foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in December 2018, and construction work started in January 2019 for 16 civil packages.

Mumbai Nagpur Expressway Contractors
The bids for the expressway were invited in March 2018, and a total of 18 companies had bid like Reliance Infrastructure, Megha Eng & Infra Ltd, NCC Ltd, TPL CENGIZ JV, L&T Ltd, Sadbhav Eng Ltd, PNC Infratech Ltd, Afcon Infrastructure Ltd, BSCPL GVPR Jv etc. The contracts were awarded to the developers in January 2019.

When you drive on this smooth expressway, you will have to pay toll charges. There will be 26 toll gates. Currently, the MSRDC has invited bids for the toll gates and is waiting for approval from the Maharashtra government to pass the contract to a party.
