The Government of India has social welfare and social security schemes for Indian citizens, which are funded by the Central Government, the State Government, or simultaneously. Projects that are fully funded by the central government are referred to as “central sector projects” (CS), while projects that are primarily centrally funded and implemented by the states are called “centrally funded projects” (CSS).
