Ganesh Chaturthi Puja Samagri list
Some devotees perform puja of the existing Ganesha idol at home, while the rest go for a new clay sculpture. This clay idol is immersed in a water body once the puja extending for one-and-a-half days, three, five, seven, or eleven days gets completed. In case you do not have an idol, you can use a photo of the deity.
- A Chowki or a low wooden platform to place the idol of Lord Ganesha.
- A piece of fresh yellow or red cloth for covering the chowki platform.
- Lord Ganesh loves red hibiscus flowers. So you may get some of these or any other flowers like Mogra, Champa, Rajnigandha, etc.
- Durva is perhaps the most essential Samagri. These are blades of a specific type of grass. These are offered to Lord Ganesha to pray for good health.
- 11 Modak and 11 Laddos or as many as you can make.
- Kheer or barfi and Bhog. You may prepare dal, rice, pooris, and sabzi without onions and garlic and offer it as Bhog (Naivedhya).
- Panchamrit (made of ghee, milk, curd, honey, and sugar)
- A piece of fresh yellow cloth for Ganesha.
